Mike Brown was named to the University of Hawai‘i baseball coaching staff in July of 2018.

COACHING HIGHLIGHTS
  • Helped JuCo transfer Kole Kaler to the top average on the team (.407) in 2020 as well as being named the 29th best shortstop of 2020 after starting the year unranked. 
  • Hawai'i finished the 2020 season ranking in the top five nationally in both sacrifice bunts (4th) and sacrifice flies (3rd).
  • The Rainbow Warriors led the Big West in doubles (32) and triples (8).
  • Guided Scotty Scott to the 2019 Big West Freshman Hitter of the Year, the first Hawai'i player to earn the award since joining the conference. 
  • Mentored four position players to Big West accolades in his first season in Hawai'i in 2019.
  • Made it the semifinal round of the 2018 College World Series, falling to the eventual National Champion, Oregon State.
  • In 2018, the Bulldogs ranked in the top five of the SEC in runs scored, hits, RBIs, doubles, triples, total bases.
  • NMSU led the WAC in batting average, slugging percentage, runs, RBIs, doubles, home runs, HBPs, and total bases.
  • 23 players who played under Brown have been selected in the major league baseball draft. Including four who have made it to big league rosters, Collin Cowgill, Andrew Albers, Trevor Gott, and most recently AJ Reed.

  • Led Kentucky in average and runs scored in 2006.
