SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH leads the series 2-0 versus Duquesne, winning both games in Honolulu.
  • The Warriors also defeated the Dukes in 2018 (42-21).
 
VERSUS THE FCS
  • UH has won its last 19 games against FCS teams dating back to the 2001 season. Hawai'i's last loss to an FCS opponent was to Portland State in 2000 at Aloha Stadium.
 
TEAM STREAKS/TRENDS  
  • The Warriors have won their last five Homecoming Games. 

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Matthew Shipley 35-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter was blocked by Duquesne’s Jaelen Carson. It ended a string of 14 straight made field goals from 40 yards and in by Shipley, a streak dating back to last season.
  • Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 55 consecutive games since arriving at UH in 2018.
  • Ilm Manning has started 51 of 53 career games and 16 straight games dating back to 2018.

TEAM NOTES
  • The Warriors improved to 41-29-1 all-time in Homecoming games.
  • UH has shutout its opponents in the third quarter in two straight games. In UH’s first two games, the Warriors were out-scored 42-0 in the third.
  • UH won the turnover battle for the second straight game (3-2). UH started the season with an 8-1 deficit in the first two games.
  • UH won despite having disadvantages in total plays (81-46), total yards (364-184), and time of possession (37:02-22:58)
  • UH’s 184 yards of offense was its lowest total since 2015 versus Air Force (178). Its 93 passing yards was also its lowest since 2015 (88 at Boise State).
  • Hawai'i ran just 46 total plays, its fewest in a game since 2018 against Army
  • UH blocked its first punt since a 2019 win at Nevada.
  • UH had a field goal blocked for the first time since 2019 at UNLV.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dedrick Parson scored a pair of rushing touchdowns (5, 17). He now has a team-leading four touchdowns in four games.
  • It marked Parson’s fourth career multi-touchdown game of his career.
  • Kaulana Makaula blocked a Duquesne punt in the second quarter. It was the first time UH blocked a punt since Andrew Choi at Nevada in September 28, 2019.
  • Makaula made his first career start as a Rainbow Warrior at safety and beside the blocked punt he also finished with seven tackles.
  • Malik Hausman recorded a pair of interceptions, both of them in the second half and both of them in the endzone to squash a pair of Duquesne scoring drives.
  • Hausman is the first UH player to come away with multiple interceptions and at least three pass breakups in a game since Nov. 24, 2012 (John Hardy-Tuliau).
  • Hausman leads the team with three interceptions.
  • Penei Pavihi scored his first career touchdown on a 50-yard interception return in the fourth quarter. It was the senior’s second career interception.
  • Pavihi also recorded the first sack of the season and fifth of this career with a takedown of Joe Mischler in the third quarter.
  • Isaiah Tufaga led the team with a career-high eight tackles.
  • Dior Scott recorded a career-high seven catches for 53 yards.
