SERIES INFORMATION
  • UH has now defeated Nevada three times in the last four meetings. Nevada, however, still owns a 15-12 advantage in the overall series.  
  • Hawai‘i leads the series 10-6 in games played in Honolulu. It was the second straight UH home win after a 24-21 victory at Aloha Stadium in 2020.
  • Ten of the last 12 meetings have been decided by 10+ points.
 
UH IN THE MOUNTAIN WEST
  • Hawai‘i is playing its 11th season in the Mountain West and owns a 27-55 (.329) all-time mark—including 15-27 at home.
  • Since the conference moved to two divisions in 2013, UH is 15-27 against the West.

INDIVIDUAL STREAKS/TRENDS 
  • Matthew Shipley converted a fourth-quarter field goal of 27 yards. The junior has made good on 17 of his last 18 field goal attempts from 40 yards and in, dating back to last season.
  • Blessman Ta‘ala has played in 58 consecutive games since arriving at UH in 2018.
  • Ilm Manning has started 54 of 56 career games and 18 straight games dating back to 2018.

TEAM NOTES
  • UH handed head coach Timmy Chang his first-ever conference win and his first-ever win over an FBS opponent.
  • UH scored a season-high 31 points.
  • UH rushed for a season high 223 yards. It was the first time UH eclipsed 200 rushing yards since its win versus New Mexico State last October.
  • The Warriors have limited their opponents to just 16 points in each of the last two games. Prior to that UH opponents were averaging 45.4 points per game.
  • UH held Nevada to 277 yards of total offense, a season-low by a UH opponent.
  • After giving up 357 yards rushing at New Mexico State, UH has held each of its last two opponents to under 100 yards rushing, including 89 yards by Nevada, an opponent-low this season.
  • UH has surrendered just one sack in the last two games.
  • The Warriors recorded a season-high six offensive plays of 20 or more yards (4 pass, 2 rush).
  • UH eclipsed its season-high for tackle-for-loss for the second straight game with 7.0 versus Nevada. UH has 13 TFLs in the last two games.
  • UH improved to 2-2 at Ching Complex this season
  • UH led at halftime for the second time this season. The Warriors are 2-0 in such scenarios.
  • UH’s 94-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter was its longest drive of the season.
  • UH enjoyed its longest scoring drive of the season in terms of plays (16) and time (8:06) with its fourth-quarter drive that put them up 28-16.
  • Nevada’s 16-play touchdown drive on its opening possession was the most in terms of plays for a UH opponent this year.
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Dedrick Parson tallied 136 yards on 24 carries and scored three touchdowns. It was his first 100-yard effort of the season and the second of his career.
  • His three touchdowns tied a career-high he set last year in UH’s win over New Mexico State (Oct. 23, 2021).
  • It was Parson’s third multi-score game this season and sixth such game of his career
  • Parson has scored in six of seven games this year. He now has a team-leading 10 rushing touchdowns on the season.
  • Zion Bowens scored for the second straight game with a 48-yard catch in the first quarter.
  • Since returning to the lineup last week, Bowens has posted a team-best 13 catches for 187 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the last two games.
  • Koali Nishigaya made his first career start and caught the first pass of the game for a 6-yard gain. It was his lone catch on three targets.
  • Freshman Nick Cenacle recorded his first career catches. His grabs of 18- and 24-yards grabs went for a pair of UH first downs.  
  • Logan Taylor made his first start on defense and finished with a career-best five tackles.
  • John Tuitupou recorded his team-best third sack of the season with his strip sack of Nate Cox in the fourth quarter that helped seal the UH win.
  • Hugh Nelson II co-led the team in tackles with a career-high eight.
