SERIES INFORMATION
  • SDSU won their sixth straight game in the series, all of them in Mountain West play. Five of the six wins have come by double digits.
  • SDSU leads the all-time series 21-9-2. The Aztecs improved to 11-6-2 in Honolulu.

STREAKS/TRENDS
  • UH won the coin toss for the first time in eight games this season.
  • UH has yet to score on an opening drive this season.
  • UH had its first turnover-free game this season and only its second such game in the last 31 contests.
  • UH is 0-4 on national TV this season and 2-35 in its last 37 games.
  • UH has lost five of its last six home conference games dating back to last year.

TEAM NOTES
  • UH is 9-36 in the Mountain West regular season games, including 5-18 at home.
  • San Diego State’s 334 rushing yards, were the most by a UH opponent this year.
  • UH was held to season lows in total offense (195), rushing yards (35) and first downs (12). The 195 yards of total offense is the lowest in 22 games under head coach Nick Rolovich.
  • UH churned out 16 plays on its touchdown drive to end the first half, its most plays on a scoring drive this year.
  • UH surrendered its second 99-yard drive of the season when the Aztecs went 99 yards in the fourth quarter. UCLA also had a 99-yard drive against UH.  
  • Alex Trifonovitch missed a 37-yard field goal in the second quarter as UH is now 1-5 on field goal attempts this year. UH lone field goal made came in the season opener vs. UMass.
 
 
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
  • Diocemy Saint Juste was held to a season low 40 yards on 17 carries. He entered the game off back-to-back 200-yard rushing games.
  • Brown scored his second rushing touchdown of the season and first since the season opener at UMass with a 1-yard rush late in the 2nd quarter.
  • Jahlani Tavai led UH with 10 tackles. He has posted at least 10 tackles in five games this season.
  • Redshirt freshman Kumoku Noa made his first career catch with a nine-yard grab in the second quarter. He made two catches on the night for 15 yards.
  • Senior wide receiver Isaiah Bernard made his first start of the season and seventh of his career. He finished with a 47-yard reception for his first catch of the season in the second quarter.
  • Defensive lineman Zeno Choi recorded his first career interception when he picked off Christian Chapman in the fourth quarter.
  • Sophomore defensive lineman Eperone Moananu made his first career start. He finished with two tackles, both solo stops.
