  • UH has won its last eight regular season home games dating back to last season (last loss vs. USC, Sept. 2, 2010).
  • Bryant Moniz set a new school record and tied an NCAA record for touchdown passes in a half with seven. The other players who threw seven touchdown passes in half are Dennis Shaw of San vs. New Mexico State, 1969), Terry Dean of Florida (vs. NMSU, 1994) and Doug Johnson of Florida (versus Central Michigan, 1997).
  • Moniz also set a school record for yards passing (424) in a half, breaking Colt Brennan’s record of 416 set against Northern Colorado in the 2007 season opener.
  • Moniz finished 30-of-40 and completed his first eight passes in the game for 164 yards.
  • Senior wide receiver Royce Pollard set career highs with nine catches for 145 yards and three touchdowns, all of it coming in the first half. The last UH player with three touchdown catches was Kealoha Pilares vs. USC in the 2010 season opener.
  • UH posted a first-half shutout for its second straight home game. UH led UC Davis 49-0 after holding the Aggies to just 51 yards and one first down in the first half. The Warriors also shutout Colorado (17-0) in the first half in its season opener.
  • UH has now won its 10 of its last 11 games vs. FCS opponents dating back to 2001.
  • UH’s average margin of victory during that span is 34.1 points.
  • UH is 4-0 against FCS opponents under head coach Greg McMackin (def. Weber State, 36-17, in 2008; def. Central Arkansas, 25-20, in 2009; and def. Charleston Southern, 66-7 in 2010).
  • UH head coach Greg McMackin improved to 7-3 record in regular season non-conference games.
  • Junior running back Sterling Jackson registered his first career receiving touchdown with a 25-yard score on UH’s first play from scrimmage. It was Jackson’s third touchdown of the season.
  • Sophomore receiver Allen Sampson scored his first career touchdown on a 31-yard catch from Bryant Moniz midway through the first quarter
 
  • Thirteen different players caught a pass for UH on the evening. Making their first career catches for UH were freshman receiver Scott Harding, sophomore receiver Corey Paclebar, senior receiver Jett Jasper, sophomore receiver Charles Clay, senior receiver Terrence Bell and junior receiver Breyden-Torres Keohokapu.
  • Sophomore quarterback David Graves scored a rushing touchdown for the second consecutive game after a 4-yard dive into the end zone in the fourth quarter.
  • Freshman defensive back Dee Maggitt recorded his first career interception in the fourth quarter.
  • Freshman defensive end Beau Yap recorded his first career sack in the fourth quarter.
  • UH had a field goal blocked for the first time since 2009 (vs. Utah State) when Jonathan Perkins blocked Tyler Hadden’s third-quarter attempt.
  • UH will not play another home game until Oct. 22 (vs. New Mexico State). The Warriors will have played only two homes games through the first seven weeks of the regular season
