- UH played its final WAC game after 33 seasons. UH has a 131-123-3 all-time record dating back to 1979. UH will join the Mountain West Conference beginning in 2012.
- Fresno State has won three of the last four meetings at Aloha Stadium with wins in 2005 and 2009—including the last two. Prior to that, UH had won five straight at home.
- UH needs to win its final two games to become bowl eligible for the 11th time and to secure a berth into the Sheraton Hawai‘i Bowl for the seventh time.
- UH is 13-5 in its last 18 WAC games dating back to 2009.

- Senior Shane Austin started his second career game at quarterback. 
- Sophomore David Graves saw his first meaningful time at quarterback. Graves completed 13-of-27 passes for 199 yards with no interceptions and a pair of touchdowns.
- Graves’ six yard scamper into the end zone was his third rushing touchdown of his career.
- Graves’ 69-yard touchdown to Billy Ray Stutzmann marked career longs for both players and it was the longest pass play for the Warriors this season.
- Stutzmann tied his career high with 136 receiving yards.
- Cornerback Kawika Ornellas started his first game at cornerback this season and seventh of his career in place of Mike Edwards.
- Tank Hopkins started his first game at kickoff return specialist this season.
