2010 Women’s College World Series

-UH completed its first appearance in the College World Series with a 1-2 record.
-UH finished the season with a 50-16 overall record. It’s the third time in school history UH hit the 50-win plateau. UH went 50-13 in 2007 and set a school record with 51 wins (51-14) in 1994.
- UH lost to Arizona for the second time this season and remained winless (0-13) all-time against the Wildcats. The Rainbow Wahine fell to Wildcats earlier this year, 8-3, on Feb. 27, on the last day of the Cathedral City Classic in California.
- UH dropped to 39-79 all-time versus Pac-10 schools, including 3-8 this year. UH concluded the seasons with a pair of Pac-10 teams in UCLA and Arizona.
- UH dropped to 5-8 this year versus ranked squads.
- UH was held to less than two runs for just the eighth time in 66 games this season. It was just the third time this season UH was held to one run.
- Sophomore Stephanie Ricketts took the loss and finished the season with a 30-10 mark. The 30 wins is the second-highest single-season total behind Melissa Coogan’s 32 wins in 2003.
- UH expanded its NCAA record to 158 home runs with Traci Yoshikawa’s a solo shot in the third inning.
-It was Yoshikawa 13th home run of the season and second in the CWS.
- UH hit a home run in 55 of 66 games this season.
-A total of 283 of UH’s 488 runs this season were attributed to home runs.
- UH scored 42 runs (4.7 per game) in nine NCAA Tournament games, but just six (2.0 per game) in three CWS games.
- UH played in its 12th straight away game and have been on the road for 27 straight days
- UH finished 26-8 in away games this year. UH was 10-7 at neutral sites and 16-1 in true road games.

- With 86 hits Louisville Slugger/NFCA 1st Team All-American Melissa Gonzalez fell two hits shy of UH’s single season record of 88 by Cathy Turner in 1995. The junior entered the CWS leading UH with a .408 batting average but went hitless in three games. Gonzales had the second-highest singles-season RBI total (60) in school-history (tied with Kelly Majam).
