The 196 yard of offense by UH was its lowest output since 1998 (174 vs. SMU)

Senior slot receiver Kealoha Pilares missed his first game since the 2008 season, ending a streak of 22 straight starts.

Senior Dustin Blount made his first career start in place of Pilares.

Alex Green’s 54-yard touchdown run gave him his sixth rushing touchdown in the last three games. He leads the team with 13 touchdowns (12 rushing, 1 receiving).

Green finished with 107 yards on just 10 carries. It was his third career 100-yard game and second in the last three games.

Greg Salas has caught a pass in 37 straight games dating back to his sophomore season.

Salas finished with just two catches, his lowest total since tallying one reception in a 2008 game against Idaho. Prior to this week’s game, Salas recorded no fewer than seven catches in a game this season.

Bryant Moniz finished with a season-low 127 yards on 17-of-28 passing and failed to throw a touchdown pass in a game for the first time this season.

Mana Silva posted two interceptions and now has 13 career interceptions, tied for the school career mark with Keone Jardine and Kevin Millhouse. He has logged at least one interception in five of the last six games.

Silva has a team-high seven interceptions. The single-season record is nine held by Walter Briggs (1989).

UH was shutout in the first half for the first time since its loss to Boise in Honolulu last year.

UH forced three Bronco turnovers and has yet to lose the turnover battle this season. During its last seven games, the UH defense has forced 24 turnovers, including 16 interceptions.

UH surrendered a season high seven sacks. It was the most sacks surrendered by UH since giving up seven at Louisiana Tech last season.

Senior safety Spencer Smith returned to action after missing the last seven games with an arm injury.

UH dropped to 1-2 against ranked teams this year. UH lost its season-opener to then- No. 14 USC, 49-36 and upset then-No. 19 Nevada, 27-21 at Aloha Stadium on Oct. 16. No. 2 Boise State is the highest ranked opponent UH has faced since opening the 2005 season against top-ranked USC.
