Biography

2003 (Senior): Started every match...recorded 318 total kills with 196 digs and 153.9 total blocks...had a season high nine blocks at Boise State (10/9) and 17 kills vs. Pacific (9/6).

2002 (Junior): Started every match at middle hitter...earned third-team All America honors...was named to the all-West Region team...named first-team all-WAC...led team with a .396 hitting percentage and 1.33 blocks per game...was third on the team with 2.52 kills per game...had eight kills and a .615 hitting percentage vs. Brigham Young (11/26), followed by a 13-kill, .478-hitting, eight-block, seven-dig performance at Utah (11/27) to win WAC Player of the Week honors (12/2)...had 11 kills and a .429 hitting percentage vs. North Carolina (12/13) and 10 kills and a .429 hitting percentage vs. Nebraska in the NCAA Regionals, earning all-NCAA Regional honors...hit .789 with 15 kills in WAC Championship match vs. Nevada...earned all-WAC tournament honors...posted 11 kills, eight digs and hit .714 vs. Fresno State (10/25)...had a great match against Ohio State in the season opener (8/30), posting 10 kills, 11 digs and a .769 hitting percentage...was named to the Wahine Classic all-tournament team.
2001 (Sophomore): Started all matches this season at the middle hitter position...earned second team all-WAC honors...was a great all-around player as she was third on the team in kills per game (1.85), second in digs per game (2.98) and first in blocks per game (1.12).
2000 (Freshman): Played in 31 games as a backup middle blocker and right side hitter...averaged 0.90 kills, 1.23 digs and 0.61 blocks per game...missed four matches with an injured tailbone...had her best performance against Nevada when she had a career-high 10 kills and seven digs...also had four blocks and hit .750 in her first career start.
Prep: A 2000 graduate of Fullerton Union High School in Fullerton, Calif....earned four letters in volleyball, three in soccer and one in track...was a four-time all-Freeway League first team performer...in her senior year, was given the league's most valuable player.
Personal: Born in Fullerton, Calif....is part-Hawaiian...enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends and watching movies...lists Michael Jordan as favorite athlete...biggest athletic thrill was winning the Junior Nationals with her club team...other favorites include the color blue-green, ice cream, the movie "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and singer Sting...also recruited by UC Santa Barbara, Washington and Baylor...has one sister, Elise...parents are Deb and Mike Duggins of Fullerton, Calif.
