Biography

2012 (Track): Did not compete at any meets.

2011 (Cross Country): Competed in five meets…season-best 5K time was 19:32.4 at the Bronco Invitational…placed 19th at the WAC Championship with a time of 22:25.6.

2011 (Track): Personal-best time of 2:29.05 in the 800-meters at the Terry Albritton Invitational…also competed in the mile and 4x400-relay events...named academic all-WAC.

2010 (Cross Country): Competed in seven meets… placed among the team's top 5 in four meets …finished 11th overall at the Big Wave Invitational with a 4K time of 16:29.33…posted a personal best 5K time of 18:51.9 at the Santa Clara Invitational which placed her 120th overall and third best on the team…finished 211th overall and fifth best on the team at the NCAA West Regionals with a time of 24:06.99. 

2010 (Track): Redshirted.

2009 (Cross Country): Competed in four of seven meets...placed among the team's top 5 in all four meets…finished 31st overall at the WAC Championships with a 5k time of 20:47…placed 16th overall at the Big Wave Invitational and 91st overall at the Santa Clara Invitational…named academic all-WAC.
2009 (Track): Seasonal-best time of 2:31.42 in the 800-meters at the Terry Albritton Invitational...clocked 1:05.86 in the 400-meters at the Sunset Meet #2...also competed in the mile and relays events.

2008 (Cross Country): Participated in six events...posted three Top 50 finishes...placed 50th at the WAC Championships with a season-best 5K time of 20:47.5...competed in the NCAA West Regionals.

Prep: A 2008 graduate of Burlington-Edison High School in Washington…a four-year letter winner in cross country and a three-year letter winner in track and field…in 2005 placed 19th in the state…2006 placed 11th in the state…and in 2007 finished 49th in the state for 2A cross country.

Personal: Born in Seattle, Wash…intends to major in journalism…has two siblings…parents are Michael and Cathy Cushing of Sedro-Woolley, Wash.
