Biography

2007-08 (Senior): Finished with a 1-31 overall singles record...went 0-23 in dual matches at the No. 2, 3, and 4 positions...posted a 2-26 overall doubles mark...was 1-21 in dual matches at the No. 2 and 3 positions...played primarily with Marie Tanaka and went 2-22.

2006-07 (Junior): Posted a 3-20 overall singles record, including a 2-10 dual match mark primarily at the No. 5 and 6 positions...was 1-4 at the No. 6 court...had an 1-3 three-set record...amassed a 6-11 overall doubles record with three different partners, including a 5-9 dual match mark...was 3-3 with Kana Aikawa.

2005-06 (Sophomore): Accumulated a 5-17 overall singles record, including a 5-13 mark in dual matches...posted a 5-7 record at No. 6...also appeared at No. 4 (0-2) and No. 5 (0-4)...recorded a 7-15 doubles mark with two different players...had a 2-14 mark with high school teammate Erin Katayama and 5-1 record with Samanta Cappella...was 7-12 in doubles dual matches...UH scholar-athlete.

2004-05 (Freshman): Did not compete in any singles matches...posted a 2-6 doubles record with three different teammates...teamed with Sylvia Jaros for a 1-3 mark.

Prep: A 2004 graduate of Punahou School in Honolulu...earned four letters in tennis...recognized on the all-ILH and first team all-state for tennis ...earned three letters in volleyball...played on two state championship teams (2003-Volleyball and 2004-Tennis)...teamed with current UH teammate Erin Katayama to capture the 2004 ILH double championship...also recruited by Southampton College of Long Island University.

Personal: Born in Seattle, Wash...majoring in communications...has one older brother...parents are Jeff and Cornelia Sandborn of Honolulu, O‘ahu.
