Biography

2010-11: Earned All- PCCSC honors for the fourth straight year… competed in one coed regatta and ten women’s regattas… captured first in the A division at the Bryson Intersectional (Oct 2-3) assisting the team to a third place finish overall… helped the Rainbow Wahine claim second overall and first in the A division at the PCCSC Fall Championship (Oct 30-31)… sailed at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan. 22-23) on the Rainbows 4 team taking third place… claimed first in the A division at the South Florida Intersectional (Feb. 19-20) leading the team to a first place finish overall… traveled to Santa Barbara, CA and competed in the PCCSC Championship helping the team to a second place finish, helping the team qualify for the women’s Nationals for the 12th time in the last 14 years … raced at the ICSA Sperry Topsider Women’s National Semifinals (May 23-24) concluding the season with a sixth place finish in the A division and a 10th place finish overall.

2009-10: An all-PCCSC women’s skipper for the third straight year…sailed in six coed regattas and all five women’s regattas…sailed at the Bryson Women’s Intersectional (Oct. 24-25) taking second overall…helped the team place third at the South Florida Women’s Intersectional (Feb. 20-21) after taking third on team A…claimed the A division at the PCCSC Women’s Championship (Apr. 24-25), helping the team qualify for the women’s nationals for the 11th time in the last 13 years… helped lead UH to a second place finish in the PCCSC Team Racing Championships and the program’s first berth in the team nationals since 2005 …part of ICSA Team Race Championship squad that took 11th overall.

2008-09: An all-PCCSC women’s skipper selection for second straight year…sailed in six women’s regattas…lead UH to first place in the women’s division at the Peter Wenner Rainbow Invite (Jan. 19-20)…also assisted the team in finishing runner-up in three regattas at the Bryson Women’s Intersectional (Sept. 29-30), at the Women’s PCCSC Fall Championship (Nov. 8-9) and at the Pacific Coast Championship (Apr. 24-25) sailing for the A division squad placing 12th…competed in the ICSA National Championship Semifinals (May 25) helping UH to a 10th place finish, coming in 12th with the A division squad…also earned PCCSC Sailor of the Week honors after helping team to fourth in the South Florida Women’s Intersectional (Feb. 21-22).

2007-08: An all-PCCSC women’s skipper selection....sailed in all eight women’s regattas.... helped UH to runner-up finishes in the Bryson Women’s Intersectional (Sept. 29-30) and the PCCSC Women’s Fall Championship (Nov. 17-18)... placed third at the PCCSC Women’s Singlehanded Championship (Oct. 12)...captured the B division with Danielle Hull and Whitney Hohl as UH won the women’s competition of the Rainbow Invite (Jan. 19-20)...part of the team that finished runner-up at the PCCSC Women’s Championship (Apr. 19-20) in Honolulu, qualifying UH for the nationals for the ninth time in 11 years...that squad eventually finished 15th at the ICSA Women’s National Championship.

Prep:
A 2007 graduate of Orcas Island High School in Eastsound, WAàlettered three years in socceràalso participated in five years of club sailing for her high schoolàteam was double district champions from 2005-2007àteam captain for 2006-2007 season.

Personal: Born in Orcas Island, Wash...major is undeclared...has one older sister...parents are Terry Turner and Lyndy Tuson-Turner of Eastsound, Wash.
