Summary

Biography

2009 (Senior): Started all 18 games at defender…made one goal at Cal State Bakersfield (Sept. 20) and against Utah State (Oct. 25)…had one assist at both Louisiana Tech (Oct. 16) and Boise State (Oct. 30)…took a season-high three shots three time at Cal State Bakersfield (Sept. 20) and against Fresno State (Oct. 4) and against Utah State (Oct. 25).

2008 (Junior): Started in 17 of 19 games at midfielder in her first season at UH after transferring from Montana…scored her first goal for UH in a 3-3 tie with New Mexico (Sept. 9)…finished with five points on the season (two goals, one assist)…fired 13 shots with eight in goal…helped UH record four shutouts…made Outrigger Soccer Classic all-tournament team…also honored on the academic all-WAC team.

Prior to UH: Attended the University of Montana her freshman and sophomore seasons…as a freshman she started eight of 20 matches she played in…her sophomore season she started eight of 10 matches played…scored one career goal and added two assists...was an academic all-Big Sky honoree.
 
Prep: A 2006 graduate of Paul Kane High School in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada...a four-year member of the Team Alberta provincial squad...helped Team Alberta to a second-place finish at the 2005 Canada Summer Games...earned a spot in the Canadian National Training Centre Program in 2004 and ’05.
 
Personal: Born in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada…majoring in business marketing and management…has one older brother and one older sister…parents are Joy and Brian Shapka of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.
