Biography

2010 (Senior)
Started in all 66 games at first base… finished the season with a .298 batting average (57-for-200) with 52 RBIs, seven doubles, and a career-high 18 home runs…her 18 homers ranks her fifth all-time in UH's single-season record book and 52 RBI ties her for No. 8 with Tyleen Tausaga for single-season RBI... held a .616 slugging percentage…had a 10 game hitting streak from Feburary 12 through Feburary 23... in WAC games had a .377 batting average with 23 hits, three doubles, nine home runs, and 22 RBI...tied three UH greats for most hits in a single game with five against New Mexico State (4/3)…finished her career ranked No. 3 in home runs with 35...earned second team All-WAC honors.


2009 (Junior): Appeared in 53 games with 51 starts (49 at first base and two as the designated player)...had a break out year, setting career-highs in every offensive category...finished second on the team with a .338 average (54-for-160) with team highs in triples (five), home runs (15), and RBI (41)...tied former UH greats Tia Morenz (1997) and Blythe Sakashita (1987) for the single-season record in triples (five)...tied former UH All-Americans Stacey Porter and Tyleen Tausaga for third in single-season home runs (15)...hit a career-best, three home runs in a losing effort in the series opener against Nevada (3/27)...hit two grand slams this season, first against No. 11 Ohio State (2/13) in Las Vegas, Nev., then against Memphis (3/27) in the Chevron Spring Fling Tournament...earned first-team All-WAC honors...named a UH Scholar-Athlete.

2008 (Sophomore): Played in 16 games with eight starts primarily as the designated player…finished season with a .167 batting average (4-for-24) and six RBI…recorded one multiple RBI game against Idaho (Mar 8).

2007 (Freshman): Appeared in 17 games, starting one at designated player...hit .222 (4-for-18) with five runs scored one double and two home runs...held a .611 slugging percentage...got her first career hit on Feb. 17 against Mississippi State in Las Vegas, Nev. at the UNLV Desert Classic...hit first career home run at Loyola Marymount on Feb. 21.

Prep: A 2006 graduate of North High School in Torrance, Calif....earned four letters in softball...named first team all-league in 2004...in 2005 earned a spot on the all-league, all-area, and all-CIF team, as well as the Most Outstanding Player in the Pioneer League...was named to her third straight all-league first team...coached by Rich Rosato...also earned one letter in golf under coach Stan Masaoka.

Personal: Born in Torrance Calif....majoring in sociology...has three sisters...sister Brooke is a libero for the BYU women's volleyball team...daughter of Kevin and Gina Tauali'i of Torrance, Calif.
