2016 (Junior):
  • Had a 1-1 record on the season
  • Paired with Gianna Guinasso for a 1-1 record in the Hawai'i Invitational (Mar. 18) beating Nebraska and losing to Loyola Marymount

2015: (Sophomore):
  • Went 2-1 with Gianna Guinasso before suffering season-ending injury.

2014 (Freshman):
  • Went 3-1 at the Rainbow Wahine Spring Challenge with Mikayla Tucker to advance to the finals of the tournament’s silver bracket…defeated pairs from Hawaii Pacific, Arizona and top-ranked USC before falling to teammates Hannah Rooks and Karlee Riggs in the finals.

Prep: A 2013 graduate of Wellington High School in Florida…a four-year letterwinner in volleyball…a two-time all-conference selection, including first-team honors as a senior…averaged 11.5 kills, 2.0 blocks and 9.0 digs in her final season while leading team to a 20-5 mark…as a junior helped lead Wellington to the 8A state championship match…also lettered twice each in basketball and softball…played indoor club for Ocean Breeze Volleyball…in beach, participated  in more than two dozen junior and women’s tournaments…took home 11 championships while competing in the Florida Beach Volleyball Tour (FBVT) and Dig the Beach Tour… finished as the 2012 points leaders in the U18 division... selected to the 2012 Team Florida HP All-Star Team.
 
Personal: Born in Wellington, Fla...nickname is “Syd”…aspires to go into medicine…has two younger brothers…parents are Jason and Tanya Shinn of Wellington, Fla.
