Biography

2014 (Sophomore): Appeared in 29 games and started 19 at third base…hit .286 for the season (18-for-63) with a .524 slugging percentage…scored nine runs with three doubles, four home runs and 13 RBI overall…recorded four multiple-hit games and four multiple-RBI games…had a career-high five game hitting streak from Apr. 19-May 3…tied her career-high with three hits against Seattle (Feb. 13), Utah (Feb. 16) and San Jose State (Feb. 20)…hit first career-grand slam against Portland State (Feb. 15) in which she helped UH erase a 10-run deficit in the fifth inning en route to the 'Bows' epic comeback win over the Vikings...earned Big West All-Academic honors.


2013 (Freshman): Appeared in 40 games with 32 starts--28 at third base, two at first base and two as the designated player...hit .165 overall (15-for-91) but fared much better in conference, hitting .316 (6-for-19)...got her first collegiate hit against Washington (Feb. 8)...had her best game at Pacific (May 11) going 3-for-4 at the plate with a career-best two home runs and six RBI...also had multiple hits vs. Minnesota (May 18) at the NCAA Regionals when she was 2-for-3.

Prep: A 2012 graduate of Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, Calif…played all four years of high school softball…helped her team win the league championship in 2009 and 2012…she is a three-time first team all-league selection who was named the school's “Rookie of the Year” in 2009, “Silver Slugger” award winner in 2010, and in her junior season was voted the Most Valuable Player on her team…voted team MVP, league MVP, and first team all league in her senior season…hit .375 with a slugging percentage of .732, 16 runs scored and 12 RBI in 2011…most recently was selected as a captain for the SGV Velocity Gold team that also produced current Rainbow Wahine Jazmine Zamora.
 
Personal: Born in West Covina, Calif…majoring in general arts and sciences…has two older sisters and two older brothers…parents are Patricia and Gustavo Villalpando of El Monte, Calif.
