2006-07: Participated in eight regattas...sailed primarily in B division...competed in th e A division in a three events, including the Truxtun Umsted (Mar. 17-18)...PCCSC Dinghy Championships (April 28-29) and the Rainbow Invite (Jan. 20-21) while sailing for the UH blue team...best divisional finish of the year was third place in the season-opening Stoney Burke Intersectional (Oct. 7-8).

2005-06: Participated in one regatta... took sixth-place in the Rainbow Invite with a joint UH-Santa Barbara City College squad.

2004-05: Participated in the Rainbow Invite, placing third in the B Division.

Prep: A 2004 graduate of Milton Academy in Milton, Mass...earned four letters in sailing while competing in the New England Sailing Association...member of the 2002 national championship team...also lettered in cross country and wrestling.

Personal: Born May 16, 1986, in Iowa City, Iowa...also recruited by Navy, Hobart and Rhode Island...has one younger brother and one older sister... major is engineering...parents are Frances Whitman of Folly Beach, S.C., and Bill Whitman of Wellfeet, Mass.
