Biography

2005 (Track): Qualified for the NCAA West Regionals in three events - 200m, 400m, and long jump...participated in the 400m at the Regionals, where she advanced to the finals and finished seventh (54.98)...broke school records in the 60m (7.88), 300m (39.67), and 400m (53.81) events...ranked third in the WAC in the 400m, fourth in the long jump, and seventh in the 200m...ranked 47th nationally in the 400m...ran a personal-best 23.95 seconds in the 200m at the WAC Championships...set school 400m record at the Occidental Invitational...school indoor record holder in the 200m (25.66), 400m (57.13), and long jump (5.80m) events...named WAC Athlete of the Week (May 9).

2004 (Track):  Qualified for the NCAA West Regionals in the long jump...team-best 6.01 m jump at the Sunset Meet #6...posted the team's fastest time in the 100-meters (11.99) at the Drake Relays...has five the the fastest 100-meter times on the year...also posted the team's fastest 150-meter time (18.34) at the Sunrise Meet #3...fastest 200-meter time (24.37) at the Long Beach State Invitational.

York University:  Attended York University in Toronto, Ontario from 2000-2003...named women's track athlete of the year in 2003 and women's track rookie of the year in 2001...team MVP in 2003.

Prep: A 1999 graduate of Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy.

Personal: Born Dec. 31, 1981, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada...intends to major in kinesiology...has two younger brothers...parents are Gale and Timothy Monroe of Markah, Ontario.
