HONOLULU – The Hawai'i soccer team continues its month-long season-opening homestand when it plays host to local Division II foe Hawai'i Pacific on Saturday at the Lower Campus Field.
The Rainbow Wahine will look to continue building momentum after securing their first win of the season with a 2-0 win over Idaho last Saturday. UH owns a perfect 11-0 record against the Sharks all-time, with the 'Bows scoring four or more goals in each of the last four meetings against HPU, winning by multiple goals each time. Hawai'i and Hawai'i Pacific last faced off in 2024, with UH winning that matchup 4-1.

UH is coming off of its first win of 2026 following a 2-0 shutout of Idaho on Saturday.
Anuhea Aluli got the scoring started in the 24th minute when she capitalized on a corner kick off a
Piper Bertani assist. Freshman
Olivia Dianda put the game away in the 79th minute when she struck from long range off her left foot to make it 2-0. Dianda's goal was her second of the weekend and helped earn her Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors. Goalkeeper
Kennedy Justin put together her first clean sheet of the season and eighth of her career making six saves while facing 17 shots. The win over the Vandals came after the Rainbow Wahine started the season with three losses to quality competition. UH fell to Big 12 opponents Texas Tech and Kansas State on opening weekend before dropping a match to defending MAC champion Western Michigan.
HOME IN MANOA
Hawai'i will begin the season by playing at least its first seven home matches at its newly completed Lower Campus field, marking the first time since 2019 that UH has played regular season matches in Manoa. UH will play its first seven matches at its on-campus field following a temporary move away from Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium that was announced a week prior to the start of the season. The Rainbow Wahine are 9-7-2 all-time when playing on campus, playing four home matches on their lower campus field in 2019, one in 2013 and the entire nine-match home schedule in Manoa in 1999.
FRESH FACES
Hawai'i's talented freshman class has already begun to make an impact, with a number of them playing key minutes on opening weekend. A group of eight freshmen in

Ella Gollis and
Anna Maertz combined for 996 minutes of playing time in UH's first four matches while three of them earned a start in at least three of the matches.
» Dianda earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors after scoring a goal each in matches vs. Western Michigan and Idaho.
» Pan'ewa Cayetano has started all four matches on the back line, averaging 80.3 minutes per match.

Jas Cayetano delivered her first collegiate assist in an Aug. 15 loss to Kansas State, totaling 236 minutes on the pitch over the first four matches.
» Gollis and Maertz each saw extensive action off the bench, with Gollis logging 103 minutes and Maertz earning 80 minutes of playing time through four matches.
» Both Jas and Pan'ewa Cayetano were Hawai'i all-state selections out of Mililani HS and Kamehameha-Kapalama, respectively.
