2025 Cross Country Season in Review

XC Big Wave Invitational

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

  • Posted a trio of top-three team finishes throughout the season.
  • Kicked off the season by winning the Big Wave Invitational at Kapi‘olani Park, led by Lucy Milliner's first-place finish.
  • Milliner picked up her second win of the season and broke the program 5k record with a time of 16:45.10 at the Charles Bowles Invitational.
  • Milliner also became the first UH athlete since 2016 to crack the top 50 at an NCAA Regional, running 20:43.60 to finish 43rd.
  • The Rainbow Wahine closed out their time in the Big West by hosting the conference championship meet at Kapi‘olani Park in October, marking the first time since 2016 UH hosted a cross country conference championship meet.

BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS

Hosting a conference championship meet for the first time since 2016, the Hawai'i cross country team turned in a ninth-place finish at the Big West Championships at Kapi'olani Park

BIG WAVE INVITATIONAL

The Hawai'i women's cross country team victoriously opened the 2025 season, taking the team title at the Big Wave Invitational at Kapi'olani Park. The Rainbow Wahine took home the team title at the Big Wave for the fifth consecutive year, finishing with a team score of 25 points to best runner-up Pacific by 12 points.

Lucy Milliner shattered the program 5k record and picked up her second win of the season to lead the Hawai'i women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Charles Bowles Invitational
