HONOLULU – Heading into the final month of the regular season, the Hawai'i baseball team looks to continue its push for the postseason when it hosts UC Riverside Friday through Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbow Warriors come into the weekend in fifth in the Big West standings at 10-11 in league play. The top five teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the Big West postseason tournament. UH has swept the Highlanders each of the last two times the series has been played in Honolulu.

1,000 WINS AT THE LES
The Rainbow Warriors are two wins away from reaching 1,000 all-time wins at Les Murakami Stadium. Hawai'i heads into Wednesday's game with an all-time record of 998-611-1 at the venue that opened in 1984. UH has won 20 or more games in a season at home 27 times in the 43 seasons that the 'Bows have been playing in Les Murakami Stadium. Since 2023, UH owns an 85-36 record at home winning 51 games between the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
POSTSEASON PUSH
Hawai'i heads into the stretch run of the season having won four of its last five Big West series. UH has taken two games out of three against UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Fullerton, UC Irvine and CSU Bakersfield in recent weeks. The Rainbow Warriors currently sit in fifth in the Big West standings - the top five teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the Big West postseason tournament.

STARTING TO SWING IT
Hawai'i has started to heat up offensively in recent games after struggling to find a rhythm throughout the season. UH is hitting .272 over the last 16 games with double-digit hits in nine of those games and six or more runs scored eight times in that stretch. Prior to this recent stretch, the Rainbow Warriors were hitting .227 as a team and averaging just 4.5 runs and 7.3 hits per game.
» Batting .302 with runners in scoring position in conference games, 34 points higher than the team's average with RISP in all games of .268.

Tate Shimao is hitting .385 over the last 19 games with seven doubles.
» Shimao also leads the team in hitting in conference games with a .333 batting average and nine doubles with 15 RBIs.

TROPICAL SWARM
The Rainbow Warrior pitching staff remains among the national leaders in several statistical categories. UH is second in the Big West and ranks 11th nationally with a 3.77 ERA. The 'Bows also rank in the top 25 nationally in WHIP (22nd), hits allowed per nine innings (19th) and opponent batting average (19th). Additionally, Hawai'i has held opponents to three or fewer runs in 21 of the 40 games and limited them to six or fewer hits 15 times.
