HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i sailors received four PCCSC All-Conference Team selections, the conference announced April 23. The Rainbow Sailors were represented across the open skipper, women's skipper, and crew categories.
Senior Erik Anderson earned an open skipper nod, while his long-time sailing partner, senior Amanda Turner, received a selection as a crew. The duo has been a mainstay in the A Division for UH throughout their careers.
On the women's side, juniors Stella Taherian and Martha Schuessler garnered women's skipper selections. It marks the first career All-Conference honors for both Rainbow Wahine, with Taherian making a successful transition from crew to skipper this season. Their leadership at the helm helped propel the women's team to a second-place team race and third-place fleet race conference finish.
Both Anderson and Turner secured honors in their respective categories for the third consecutive season, marking a historic milestone for the program. Anderson is the first All-PCCSC skipper to achieve three selections since three-time All-American Bryan Lake in 2004, while Turner becomes the first All-PCCSC crew member to earn a third nod since two-time All-American Jennifer Warnock in 2003.
