Women's Tennis Concludes Season at Cal State Fullerton, CSUN

FULLERTON, Calif. — The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (6-8, 3-4 Big West) wraps up the 2026 regular season with road matches at Cal State Fullerton (12-7, 5-3) and CSUN (13-6, 4-3).

The Rainbow Wahine match at Cal State Fullerton is set for Friday, April 17 at 8:00 a.m. HT. The meeting between the 'Bows and Titans is a make up for a match originally scheduled for Feb. 7 in Honolulu which was rained out. The 'Bows will then end the regular season at CSUN on Saturday, April 10 at 8:00 a.m. HT.

LAST SEASON: UH defeated the Matadors in a regular-season match 5-2 on Jan. 25, 2025. The teams met again in the second round of the Big West Championship where the 'Bows held off CSUN, 4-2 on April 25, 2025.
SERIES STREAK: Hawai'i won the last two matches.

NEWS & NOTESUniversity of Hawaii LogoLAST WEEK: The Rainbow Wahine survived a soggy, rain-filled weekend, splitting their final two home matches of the season. Hawai'i fell to UC Davis 4-3 on Saturday, but bounced back with a 7-0 sweep over UC Riverside on Monday. UH's match vs. UCR was originally scheduled for Thursday, April 9, but was moved to Monday, April 13 due to incoming inclement weather. On Monday, the two teams endured a six-hour rain delay before the match got underway. The Rainbow Wahine hope to take their momentum into the final two weeks of the season.

The win over the Highlanders snapped Hawai'i's four-match losing streak, which was its longest since 2022 when UH fell to #17 Stanford, #26 UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly and #21 USC in the first week of April.

SINGLES: Junior Hannah Galindo continues to lead the 'Bows with an 11-3 overall record and a 6-1 mark in conference play. Galindo has won six of her last seven matches, including her last two heading into this week. Galindo started the season playing two matches on Court No. 6 before moving up to play five matches at No. 5. She then played two matches at No. 4 and has played the last four at No. 3.

Allaire Berl enters the week with a 7-5 overall record, ranking second on the team in wins, and has won her last two matches. Makeilah Nepomuceno is 6-7 and has won six of her last eight decisions all while playing at No. 2.

DOUBLES: Hawai'i's No. 1 pair of Grete Gull and Sophie Rachor lead UH with an 8-6 overall record, while posting a 6-1 record in conference. At No. 2, Galindo and Nepomuceno have compiled a 7-6 overall record while going 4-3 in the Big West. Overall, Hawai'i has won six of their 14 doubles points in their dual matches this season.
