HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i coed sailing team is set to make its second and final home appearance of the 2025-26 season when it hosts the Hawai'i Fleet Race Invite this weekend, held Mar. 28-29 in Ke'ehi Lagoon.
The Rainbow Sailors return after placing second in the PCCSC South Designate in San Francisco last weekend.
A total of four schools will compete in this inaugural regatta. UH is expected to field five squads — competing in both the A and B divisions, with the three other schools fielding one team each.
In the wake of being ravaged by storm conditions over the last two weeks, this weekend's early forecast calls for clearer skies and brisk winds in the 14-16 knot range. UH will look to defend its home waters yet again, after winning first place in the 2026 Rainbow Invite earlier this year.
