Men's Volleyball Continues Homestand Against Pepperdine

HONOLULU – The third-ranked University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team continues its seven-match homestand with a two-match, non-conference series against No. 7 Pepperdine, Wednesday, March 4 and Friday, March 6 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Match time is 7:00 p.m. both nights. The Rainbow Warriors (14-1) take an 11-match win streak into this week's series.

FIRST SERVE
  • UH will play an MPSF opponent for the third time in four weeks, having already swept two-match series with Stanford and BYU.
  • Pepperdine holds a 44-37 advantage in the all-time series, however, UH leads 25-15 in Honolulu.
  • UH has won 13 straight in the series in Honolulu dating back to 2010.
  • The former Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rivals last met during the 2023 season, when UH swept a two-match series in Honolulu.
  • Since leaving the MPSF, UH has a 36-7 record vs. MPSF teams since 2018. Hawai'i has a combined record of 209-229 (.477) against current members of the MPSF.
  • The teams were former conference rivals dating back to the California Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in 1981 and through the MPSF in 2017.

  • Pepperdine (10-3) has won has won three straight and is coming off a series sweep of Jessup last week to improve to 3-0 in MPSF play.
  • UH's 14-1 record through the first 15 matches of the season marks the seventh time in the last eight seasons the team is 14-1 or better.
  • UH's 11-match win streak marks the eighth time in the last 12 years that the Warriors boast a win streak of 11 or more in a single-season.
