Men's Tennis Travels To Take On #64 UNLV, #48 LMU

LAS VEGAS, Nev.--The 74th-ranked University of Hawai'i men's Tennis team (8-4, 1-0 Big West) heads to the mainland for a couple of tough matches against ranked opponents. First, the Rainbow Warriors will take on 64th-ranked UNLV (9-4, 1-0 MW) on Tuesday, March 17th at 7:00 a.m HT at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas, Nwv.. The 'Bows will then head to Los Angeles, Calif. to take on #48 LMU at the LMU Tennis Complex on Thursday, March 19th at 11:00 a.m. HT.

Tennis Tidbits
  • The Rainbow Warriors are looking to extend its four-match win streak this week. Their win-streak is comprised of all road wins, starting at Pacific where UH started their last roadtrip. Then the 'Bows won all three of their matches at the Golden State Invitational where they defeated Saint Mary's (CA), Sacramento State, and Nevada. It's UH's longest win streak since they won six-straight in 2023.
  • Sophomore Adriano Dzhenev went 4-0 playing at No. 5 on UH's last roadtrip. Overall, Dzhenev is tied with UH's No. 1 Azuma Visaya with a team-best six wins in singles. 
  • Visaya enters the week with a 6-4 singles mark all on the No. 1 court. Visaya split his last two matches at the Golden State Invitational and  his first two matches on their last roadtrip went unfinished. 
  • Freshman Kent Mueller is close behind Visaya and Dzhenev with a 5-2 singles record primarily on the No. 4 court
  • In doubles, UH's No.2 duo of Toa Maeda and Visaya, and UH's No. 3 pair of Dzhenev and Mueller both lead UH with six wins apiece. Visaya and Maeda are 6-4, while Dzhenev and Mueller are 6-2.
