HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team will make its second straight appearance at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate, which runs Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17 at the Tucson Country Club in Tucson, Ariz.
Hosted by the 22nd-ranked University of Arizona, the 14-team field features nine teams ranked in the Top 100—No. 5 Arizona State, No. 14 Oklahoma, No. 18 New Mexico, No. 38 Long Beach State, No. 52 Colorado, No. 74 UTEP, No. 91 Oral Roberts, and No. 95 Grand Canyon—along with UH, New Mexico State, Pacific, UTSA, and Wyoming.
Participants will play 54 holes, with 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, at the 7,533-yard, par-72 course. Tee times off of Nos. 1 and 10 begin at 7:30 a.m. MT each day. Hawai'i will send a contingent of

James Whitworth,
Alec Hilgers, and
Chris Salem.
UH finished in 13th place last year with a 922 total. Watanabe, Szpakowicz, and Whitworth competed in that tournament, with Szpakowicz placing 50th at 14-over.
The Rainbow Warriors are coming off a tie for 14th place at the Wyoming Desert Classic in Palm Desert, Calif. Following this week's tournament, UH will next compete in the Bridgestone Collegiate Invitational, March 23–24 in Napa, Calif.
