HONOLULU — One of the hottest teams in the Big West, the University of Hawai'i women's basketball team takes on UC Davis to open its final homestand of the season on Thursday, Feb. 26 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. Tipoff for this season's "Pink Game" is set for 7 p.m.
In a remarkable turnaround, the Rainbow Wahine have won 10 of their last 11 games, including the last four in a row, since dropping their first five conference contests. They continued their run by sweeping last week's road trip to Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.
The 'Bows will close the home schedule on Saturday, Feb. 28 by taking on Cal State Fullerton for Senior Night. UH's senior class of

Saniyah Neverson and
Imani Perez will be honored after the game.

'BOWS NOTES
- UH secured a berth in the eight-team field for the Credit Union 1 Big West Women's Basketball Championship set for March 11-14 in Henderson, Nev., with last week's win at Cal Poly.
- UH enters the week fifth in the Big West standings, just behind Cal State Fullerton (12-5).
- Freshman guard Bailey Flavell continues to lead the team with 13.2 points per game and is on track to become the first freshman to lead the team in scoring since the 2010-11 season.
- Over the last four games, UH's frontcourt trio of seniors Saniyah Neverson and Imani Perez and sophomore Ritorya Tamilo are shooting a combined 59% from the field. Neverson is averaging 14.3 ppg (57.6% FGs), Perez 11.5 ppg (54.5%) and Tamilo 8.5 ppg (68.8%) over that span.
- UH has 155 blocked shots this season, the second highest single-season total in program history. The 'Bows enter the game eight blocks away from the UH record set in 2002-03 season.
- UH leads the Big West and ranks eighth in the nation with 6.0 blocks per game. UH's rate of blocked shots remains ahead of the program record of 5.6 set in the 2004-05 season.
- Senior forward Imani Perez continues to anchor the UH defense and ranks first in the Big West and 34th nationally with 1.68 blocked shots per game. During last week's road trip, Perez also shined offensively in shooting 64.3% from the field overall and going 7 for 10 from 3-point range.
- UH remains second in the Big West and ranks 13th nationally in field-goal percentage defense in holding opponents to 36.3% shooting.
- UH has held its last 12 opponents under 60 points and ranks second in the Big West in scoring defense overall.
