Women's Tennis Heads to San Diego for Three Dual Matches

SAN DIEGO, Calif.--The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team (2-2) takes off on its first roadtrip of 2026 to play three dual matches in the San Diego area. The Rainbow Wahine begin their trek at San Diego (3-3) on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 11:30 a.m. HT at the Hogan Tennis Center. Hawai'i will then play their Big West opener against UC San Diego (4-4) on Saturday, February 14th at the Northview Tennis Courts. The 'Bows will then wrap-up their trip at San Diego State (3-1) on Monday, February 16th at 9:00 a.m. HT at the Aztec Tennis Center.

HAWAI'I NEWS & NOTES
  • Last week, the Rainbow Wahine fell to Utah, 5-2 but their Big West opener against Cal State Fullerton was postponed due to heavy rains and high winds on Saturday and Sunday. The match vs.the Titans will be made up in Fullerton later this season.
  • Junior Hannah Galindo leads Hawai'i with a 4-0 singles record--two at No. 5 and two at No. 6. Most recently, Galindo defeated Utah's Hayley Roberts in straight sets at No. 5, 6-2, 6-1 last Friday.
  • Senior Allaire Berl has recorded a 3-1 record thus far, winning her last two-straight. Most recently against Utah, Berl was the lone Rainbow Wahine to record wins in both singles and doubles against the Utes.  In singles, She defeated Dylan Lolofie, 6-1, 7-6 (7-5), while she and doubles partner Emma Forgac knocked off Lolofie and Roberts on the No. 3 court, 6-2.
  • True freshman Grete Gull has made an impact already playing at No. 1 in all four dual matches this year. She is 2-2 overall in singles with her two wins both coming against Sacrament State.
