Women's Basketball Announces Nonconference Schedule

HONOLULU — University of Hawai'i women's basketball coach Laura Beeman announced a 10-game nonconference schedule that will feature eight home dates and a trip to Maui.

The Rainbow Wahine open Beeman's 14th season as head coach by playing their first seven games at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center and tip off the season in Manoa for just the fourth time in Beeman's tenure and the first time since the 2020-21 season.

UH's nonconference schedule includes five teams that qualified for postseason tournaments in 2024-25, three in the NCAA Tournament and one each in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament and Women's National Invitation Tournament.

The 'Bows open the 2025-26 season by taking on Portland State on Nov. 4 at Bankoh Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. They'll face St. Martin's on Nov. 13 before entering back-to-back early-season tournaments.

They'll open the run of five games in 10 days with the Bank of Hawai'i Classic, set for Nov. 21 and 23. UH will face Loyola Marymount in this season's Education Day game at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21 and take on Portland two days later. Portland went 31-5 last season and reached the quarterfinals of the WBIT.

The three-day American Savings Bank Rainbow Wahine Showdown follows on Thanksgiving weekend and the 'Bows take on Vermont (Nov. 28), Lindenwood (Nov. 29) and Santa Clara (Nov. 30). Vermont is the defending America East champion and Lindenwood advanced to the WNIT Super 16 last season.

UH opens the Big West season with a road trip to UC Davis and Cal State Fullerton in the conference's Bold Week games and returns home for an intra-state matchup with Hawai'i Hilo on Dec. 11.

The nonconference schedule concludes with two games in the Maui Classic. The 'Bows face Liberty on Dec. 19 and Montana State on Dec. 20 on the campus of Seabury Hall in Makawao in the event hosted by Oregon State. Both of UH's opponents on Maui are coming off of NCAA Tournament appearances with Montana State winning the Big Sky championship and Liberty claiming the Conference USA title.

The 'Bows open 2026 by resuming the previously announced Big West schedule in their final season in the conference.

UH's exhibition games prior to the season will be announced at a later date.
