The Rainbow Wahine currently have just six on their active roster, which including all four returnees (
Allaire Berl,
Emma Forgack,
Hannah Galindo and
Makeilah Nepomuceno) who helped the team finish fourth in the Big West last Spring. Hawaii'i welcomes a pair of newcomers for the season--true freshman Greta Gull fom Estonia and senior transfer
Sophie Rachor, who played three seasons at Concordia Irvine.
UH sophomore Forgac led all returnees last year recording seven singles wins a season ago. Fellow sophomore Nepomuceno recorded four singles wins, while both Berl and Galindo played singles sparingly while posting a win apiece.
In doubles, the only duo that saw significant playing time together last season is Galindo and Nepomuceno who combined to go 8-8 in dual matches primarily on the Np. 3 court.
The 'Bows will need to replace a lot of fire power from last year with the loss of its five graduating seniors who all played significant roles in both singles and doubles. In singles, last year's seniors accounted for 41 of the team's 54 total singles wins.
