TULSA, Okla.--University of Hawai'i men's tennis player
Azuma Visaya opens his singles season in the main draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. As the highest ranked player from the Big West at No. 65, Visaya starts the All-American tourney in the Main Draw on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.

Visaya started his UH career last fall with a bang. He played well in the Fall events, posting a 9-4 singles record which included wins over Washington's 108
th-ranked Cesar Bouchelaghem (7-6 (6), 6-4) and Pepperdine's No. 6 seed in the ITA Regional, Maxi Homberg (7-6 (4), 6-3). Visaya advanced to the Round of 16 at the iTA Southwest Regionals and with doubles partner
Quinn Snyder fell in the semifinals of the ITA Conference Masters Championships to finish a win short of advancing to the NCAA tournament. Visaya earned Big West Player of the Week honors three times last season, while earning all-Big West second team accolades in singles and a first team nod with doubles Snyder.
