HONOLULU – The Hawai'i women's cross country team will take its first road trip of the season when it travels to The Master's University Invitational Saturday.
A group of eight Rainbow Wahine will compete in the 6k invitational event beginning at 5:45 a.m. HT.
UH is coming off of a dominant start to the season in which it swept the Big Wave Invitational at Kapi'olani Park. The 'Bows claimed six of the top 10 spots to post a team score of 25 points, led by
Lucy Milliner who earned Big West Athlete of the Week honors after winning the event with a 4k time of 13:57.3.
Emilie Kirk Langschwager was the second Hawai'i finisher, placing third overall with a time of 14.29.0 while
Zola O'Donnell was close behind in fourth place with a mark of 14:36.4. UH also took spots No. 8-10 with
Lucy Becker pushing across the line in 15.00.0 followed by two runners making their Rainbow Wahine debuts in
Harriet Greentree (15:01.0) and
Sophie Bekins (15:03.0).
Following this week's action at The Master's University Invitational, the Rainbow Wahine will compete at the HPU Invitational on Sep. 27.
