Men's Tennis Falls to UC San Diego

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team fell to UC San Diego, 4-2, on Saturday night at the UH Tennis Complex. The Rainbow Warriors fell to 3-16 overall and 0-5 in The Big West.

In No. 1 doubles, the UH duo of Azuma Visaya and Quinn Snyder started off strong taking down the Tritons pair of Pelayo Rodriguez and Zach Pellochoud, 6-2. On Court No. 3, Diego Dalisay and Sohta Urano took it down to the wire but fell to UCSD's David Adamson and Joseph Teh, 6-4, where the Tritons secured the doubles point.

In singles, UH's No. 2 Snyder continues his outstanding play with a straight-set win over UCSD's Diogo Tinoco, 6-4, 6-1. Snyder remains perfect in singles play on the year with a 12-0 record. UH's No. 4, Dalisay battled it out with th Tritons' Zach Pellouchoud in a three set marathon and came out victorious, 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. For Dalisay, it marked his third singles win of the season. The Tritons clinched the match with a win on Court No. 6 where Charles Qian took down Tianhao Hou, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4/

Hawai'i will wrap up their regular season schedule with their Senior Night match against UC Riverside. The match will take place on April 15 at 4:00 p.m. HT at the UH Tennis Complex. UH will be honoring its four seniors – Karl Collins, Diego Dalisay, Andy Hernandez, and Quinn Snyder.
