HEAD COACH RICH HILL

At Hawai'i: 115-66, 4th season
Collegiate Record: 1,194-804-4, 38th season

SERIES VS. LONG BEACH STATE
LBSU leads, 24-17
Last Meeting: UH won series, 2-1 (May 17-19, 2024 Long Beach State)

DID YOU KNOW?
The Rainbow Warriors have enjoyed major success under head coach Rich Hill in the months of April and May, going 60-27 in the final two months of the season under his leadership. That record is good for the fourth-best nationally since 2022.

BREAK OUT THE BATS
The Rainbow Warrior bats have gotten hot during their recent stretch of strong play. UH has scored nine or more runs in five straight games, marking the first time since 1987 (9 straight) that the 'Bows have done that. Hawai'i has also hit 10 home runs in the last four games after hitting just seven all season prior to that. On the season, the Rainbow Warriors are hitting .350 with two outs and .366 with runners in scoring position, 62 points higher than their overall team batting average.

MANA IS MASHING
Reigning Golden Spikes National Player of the Week Kamana Nahaku has been on a tear lately. The senior hit five home runs over the weekend at CSUN to become the first Hawai'i player to earn national player of the week honors since 2021. In the last five games, he's batting .611 with five homers, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored, highlighted by a school-record tying three home runs in last Sunday's win at CSUN.

SECOND HALF SURGES
The Rainbow Warriors have enjoyed major success during the second half of the season in each season under head coach Rich Hill. UH is 60-27 in the months of April and May under Hill, owning a 32-16 mark in April and a 28-11 record in May. That record is good for the fifth best nationally since 2022, trailing only national and West Coast powers Tennessee (75-23), UC Santa Barbara (73-25) and Oregon State (69-29).

SUNDAY FUNDAY
The Rainbow Warriors have enjoyed massive success in Sunday games under head coach RICH HILL - especially at home.  Dating back to last season, UH has won 11 consecutive Sunday home games and are outscoring teams 96-25 over that stretch. This year, the 'Bows are 5-0 at home on Sundays and are outscoring teams 45-6 in those games, holding opponents to three or fewer runs in all of those contests. During Hill's tenure, UH is 33-12 in Sunday games with a 21-5 mark at home.

MIURA HEATING UP
Hawai'i center fielder Matthew Miura has been on a tear over the last two weeks. Miura is hitting .600 (15-for-25) over the last eight games with nine runs scored and four doubles. He started off that stretch by reaching base in 15 of his 16 plate appearances against UC Davis, including 13 in a row to begin the series. Miura then went 5-for-12 in a road series victory at CSUN, hitting his first homer of the season in game two before delivering the go-ahead RBI double in the finale to help UH erase a six-run ninth inning deficit.

THE UNHITTABLES
Two of the Rainbow Warrior pitching staff's best arms have also been among the best in the country so far in 2025. Liam O'Brien and Isaiah Magdaleno each rank in the top 10 nationally in hits allowed per nine innings and opponent batting average, making Hawai'i the only team in the country to have two pitchers in the top 10 in both categories. O'Brien leads the country in opponent batting average and hits allowed per nine innings while Magdaleno is tops in the nation in WHIP.
