The No. 17 University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine beach volleyball team makes its third consecutive trip to the state of California when it competes in the Best In the West tournament, April 4-5 in Laguna Beach.
The Rainbow Wahine (10-12) enjoyed a bye last weekend after back-to-back appearances in the East Meets West Invitational in Manhattan Beach and the Big West Challenge in San Luis Obispo. The 'Bows went 5-5 over the course of those 10 away matches with more than half coming against ranked foes.
UH now heads back to the Golden State for its second appearance in the Best In the West in the last three years. It will be a power-packed field as UH will take on top 10 squads UCLA, USC and Cal Poly as well as nationally-ranked Stetson and North Florida.
Following the Best In the West, the Rainbow Wahine will return to the island to play their final home matches of the season during Senior Weekend, April 12-13, at the Clarence T.C. Ching Complex.
