Box Score HONOLULU--The University of Hawai'i men's tennis team (3-15, 0-4 Big West) fell to No. 43 UC Irvine, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the UH Tennis Complex.

The Rainbow Warriors opened strong, winning the doubles point to start the match. Hawai'i's No. 3 pair of Diego Dalisay and Sohta Urano edged out the Anteaters' Rithvik Krishna and Ruining Huang, 6-4. UH's No. 1 duo of Quinn Snyder and Azuma Visaya were down 1-4 before rallying for the come-from-behind win over UCI's 82nd-raned Andy Nguyen and Noah Zamora by a break, 7-5 to capture the doubles point.

But in singles, the Anteaters pulled away for the win. UH's No. 5 Dalisay retired after the first set to give Sohrob Amiryavari the win. UCI's Max Fardanesh followed with a 6-1, 6-3 win on the No. 6 court. Hawai'i's No. 4 Andy Hernandez dropped his match to Ruining Huang, 6-3, 6-2. On the No. 1 court, UCI's 58th-ranked Zamora held off UH's 107th-ranked Visaya, 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the match.

Hawai'i will next take on UC San Diego (5-10, 2-1 Big West) on Saturday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the UH Tennis Courts.
