KOHALA COAST, Hawai'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team completed the Amer Ari Intercollegiate in 16
th place after a final round 286, Saturday at Mauna Lani Resort Golf Course.
The Rainbow Warriors totaled 10-under 854 in the three-day event. Ninth-ranked Oklahoma State captured the team title at 800 while North Carolina's Hampton Roberts and Texas' Tommy Morrison shared medalist honors at 21-under 195.
UH's top finisher was junior
Josh Hayashida, who shot 3-under 69 to finish 5-under 211 for the tournament and a tie for 58
th place. Over his final 36 holes, the Mililani, O'ahu native was 12-under which included a program-tying 9-under 63 in Friday's second round.
Anson Cabello carded 1-under 71 to finish 2-under 214 and a tie for 76
th. Also competing for UH were

th).
UH's
James Whitworth, who was competing as an individual, shot even par 72 and finished 6-under 210 and a tie for 51
st place. Two others competed as individuals –
Nathan Szpakowicz (71-221; t-101
st) and
Quinn Murray, who was forced to withdraw from the third round.
The Amer Ari Intercollegiate was UH's spring-opening tournament. Next up, the team will host the 48
th annual John A. Burns Intercollegiate, Feb. 13-15 at the Ocean Course at Hokuala in Līhu'e, Kaua'i.
