SPOKANE, Wash. – The Hawai'i women's track & field team capped off its indoor season with a fourth-place finish at the MPSF Championships, marking the fourth consecutive year that the Rainbow Wahine have placed in the top four of the conference.
UH finished the meet with 70.5 points led by four medalists, marking the fourth consecutive year that UH has posted a top-four finish in the MPSF after not cracking the top 10 each of the previous eight seasons in the league.
Lilian Turban finished off a three-peat in the high jump with a mark of 1.80m (5-10.75), becoming the second Hawai'i athlete ever to win three consecutive indoor conference titles in an event (Annett Wichmann – Pentathlon, 2007-09).
Tara Wyllie made it back-to-back triple jump conference titles with a school record mark of 12.66m (41-6.5), becoming the first UH athlete ever to win back-to-back indoor triple jump conference crowns.
Maya Holman set a program record in the long jump, posting a mark of 6.12m (20-1.0) in the pentathlon long jump. Holman's performance was the best long jump mark of anyone in the meet and shattered the previous school record by 0.32m.
