The Big West-leading University of Hawai'i women's basketball team takes an 11-game winning streak into a matchup with Long Beach State on Thursday to open a key conference road trip. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. Pacific Time (4 p.m. Hawai'i Time) at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif.
The Rainbow Wahine extended their winning streak by pulling off their biggest comeback of the season in a 65-58 win over UC Santa Barbara last Saturday. UH stormed back in the second half after trailing by 19 after the first quarter and 11 at halftime to sweep last week's homestand and remain a half-game ahead of UC Irvine atop the Big West standings.
In UH's first meeting with Long Beach State this season, the Beach handed the 'Bows a 73-69 loss in overtime on Dec. 7 in the Big West's "Bold Week." The Beach enters the rematch fourth in the Big West, three games behind UH. The 'Bows will close the week with a showdown with UC Irvine on Saturday at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif.

- UH has held eight of its last 10 opponents under 50 points. The 'Bows run of six consecutive sub-50 point performances (Jan. 9-25) marked a program record.
- UH has held 19 opponents under 40% shooting, including eight games under 30%, and is 17-2 in those contests.
- The 'Bows have limited Big West opponents to 51.5 points per game on 32.8% shooting overall and 24.2% shooting from 3-point range.

'BOWS NOTES
- Lily Wahinekapu continues to lead the team with 10.8 points per game, 60 assists and 29 steals. The senior enters the week with 999 points in her UH career and her next point will make her the 25th member of the program's 1,000-point club. She has a total of 1,426 points, including her freshman year at Cal State Fullerton (2021-22).
- Mia 'Uhila has started the last five games and poured in a career-high 23 points, 15 coming in the third quarter alone, to spark UH's comeback against UC Santa Barbara on Feb. 8. 'Uhila shot 63.2% (12 of 19) from the field in last week's wins over Cal Poly and UCSB.
- With Wahinekapu out of action against Cal Poly, Jovi Lefotu helped UH overcome her sister's absence with a career-high 15 points. She went 4-for-5 from the field and 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.
- MeiLani McBee has 194 3-pointers for her career and is 11 away from the program's record held by Amy Atwell. The senior has played in 131 games in her career, including the last 114 in a row, and moved past Atwell (2016-22) as the program's all-time leader on Jan. 25 against UC Irvine.
- Senior guard Kelsie Imai ranks eighth in program history with 298 career assists. She also moved up to second in games played with 127.
- Imani Perez has averaged 10.3 points and a team-high 5.8 rebounds per game while playing 31 minutes per game over the last nine contests. She's shooting 55.4% from the field over that span.
- Center Ritorya Tamilo posted the first double-double of her career with 11 points and 11 rebounds against UC Irvine on Jan. 25. The freshman is third on the team with 7.7 points per game and is shooting a team-high 49.2% from the field. She also leads the team with 30 blocked shots, three away from the UH freshman record.
- Brooklyn Rewers has provided a boost off the bench by scoring in double figures in 10 of the last 15 games. She is averaging 7.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in Big West play. Rewers is second on the team with 109 total rebounds.
- UH head coach Laura Beeman earned her 600th win of her career on Jan. 16 at CSUN. She posted 390 wins at Mt. San Antonio College (1994-2010) and now has 217 over her 13 seasons leading the Rainbow Wahine.
THE MATCHUP
- The Rainbow Wahine and Beach meet for the 51st time in a series that began on Jan. 31, 1986, a 91-59 Long Beach State win in Honolulu.
- Long Beach State won this season's first meeting 73-69 in overtime at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center on Dec. 7 during the Big West's "Bold Week." The game featured 10 ties and 15 lead changes. Guard Savannah Tucker led four LBSU players in double figures with 23 points. Lily Wahinekapu led UH with 20 points and Ritorya Tamilo added 14 points, nine rebounds and six blocked shots.
- The Beach holds a 12-10 lead in games played in Long Beach. UH posted an 80-68 win in last season's visit to the Walter Pyramid.
- UH is 19-8 against the Beach under head coach Laura Beeman.
- LBSU coach Amy Wright is in her second season leading the Beach and has a record of 27-28.
