HONOLULU – Coming off one of the best finishing stretches to the season by any team nationally in a year ago, Hawai'i will look to continue its upward trajectory when it opens the 2025 season with a four-game series against Marshall starting Friday night at Les Murakami Stadium.

RAISING THE STANDARD
Over the last three seasons under head coach
Rich Hill, Hawai'i has enjoyed its most successful seasons since joining the Big West. The Rainbow Warriors have posted three consecutive winning seasons under Hill - their first three over .500 finishes since joining the Big West in 2012. UH has finished in the top five of the conference each of the last three seasons, including third-place finishes in 2022 and 2024. The 'Bows have won 57 Big West games over the last three years - the most conference wins in a three-year stretch for the program since 1990-92. UH also ended last season as arguably the hottest team in the country going 18-2 over the final 20 games - tied for the best record nationally in a team's final 20 regular season games last year.
MANOA MAGIC
The Rainbow Warriors have made Les Murakami Stadium one of the toughest places to play in the country over the last few years. UH is 45-17 at home over the last two seasons and heads into the 2025 campaign with the nation's longest active home winning streak at 11 games. Hawai'i has been especially good at home during the later stages of the season, owning a 15-0 home record in May over the last two seasons and an 18-3 mark at home in May over three seasons under head coach

TABLE SETTER

Jordan Donahue will look to go out with a bang as a senior in 2025. A preseason All-Big West selection, Donahue hit .349 in 2024 with two homers, 30 RBIs and 17 doubles. The Mililani native also finished second on the team with a .458 on base percentage and committed just six errors all season at shortstop, finishing with a .967 fielding percentage.
NEW FACES
The Rainbow Warrior lineup will feature a number of newcomers in 2025 following the departures of a number of key position players from last year. UH lost five players who started at least 25 games last season and will return just four players who started at least 40 games. The incoming group of position players includes a number of four-year and junior college transfers who will look to make an immediate impact.

Shunsuke Sakaino joins the program after hitting .300 with a .409 OBP and 118 hits over his three seasons as a Matador.
» Maui native
Konnor Palmeira returns to the program after spending one year at Everett CC and the last two seasons at Cal State Bakersfield. Palmeira played his freshman year at UH in 2021.
