HONOLULU – After one season as running backs coach,
Anthony Arceneaux has added the title of offensive coordinator for the upcoming University of Hawai'i football season, head coach
Timmy Chang announced.
Last season, Arceneaux directed the running back unit which rushed for 847 yards, averaging 4.9 yards per carry in the pass-oriented Run-and-Shoot offense.
Arceneaux joined the Rainbow Warrior program last January after two seasons as wide receivers coach at Nevada (2022-23). The Saint Louis School alum was high school teammates with Chang, where they ran the Run-and-Shoot to two O'ahu Prep Bowl championships.
Arceneaux has 16 years of coaching experience which also included stops at UC Davis (2021), Southern Utah (2014, '16-20), Chaffey College (2015), and Western New Mexico (2014). He began his career at his alma mater Saint Louis, where he served as strength and conditioning coordinator as well as wide receivers coach.
The Honolulu native played collegiately at the University of Utah (1999-2002) and professionally in the Canadian Football League and Arena Football League.
Arceneaux earned his bachelor's degree from Chaminade and has a master's degree from New Mexico Highlands. He and his wife, Nichole, have three children.
