HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The 2025 AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Pairs Championship rolled on for the University of Hawai'i beach volleyball program. UH's pair of Emily Heintzelman and Sydney Miller took on pairs from Stetson and Tampa on day two of the competition, splitting their matches on Saturday in Huntsville, Ala.

After dropping the opening set, 21-18, against Stetson's Katie Camp and Madeline Camp, the UH pair bounced back to earn their first set win of the tournament in set two, 21-18. Heintzelman and Miller battled in the third set but ultimately fell 15-12 to drop the set and the match. 

In the second match, Heintzelman and Miller jumped ahead with a 21-18 win in set one against Tampa's Kaelyn Fredette-Huffman and Hailey Peterson. The UH duo trailed early in set two, but battled back to take the lead late and eventually win, 26-24, to earn their first match win of the tournament via straight sets.

Heintzelman and Miller move on to round two of the 57th-place bracket and will take on the Jacksonville pair of Hayden Garnett and Meredith Mrukowski on Sunday morning. First serve is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. CST/7:45 a.m. HT.
