Softball Signs Two for 2027 Season

HONOLULU—University of Hawai'i head softball coach Panita Thanatharn announced the signing of two players for the 2027 season—Palehua Silva and Ashannalee Titialii are part of Thanatharn's first official recruiting class.

Silva is a 5-7 catcher/first baseman who hails from Hilo, Hawai'i but attends Maryknoll School in Honolulu, O'ahu. Last season, she hit a hefty .543 batting average going 25-for-46 at the plate with three doubles and eight home runs. She also drew 21 walks and scored 19 runs for the Spartans. Silva earned ScoringLive and Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State First Team honors while being tabbed an all-league second team selection all three years.

Titialii is a 5-4 second base/shortstop out of Carson Senior High School where she helped lead the Colts to back-to-back CIF open division championship titles. Titialii has been a mainstay in the Carson lineup, leading the team in both hits and average all three years as a prepster. Last year, she hit a team-high .535 while racking up a team-best 46 hits.

"We are thrilled to welcome Palehua and Ashannalee to our team," exclaimed Thanatharn."This is a small but dangerous signing class! Palehua is a powerful athlete who will represent our program with great pride, and we're proud to keep her in our home state. Ashannalee brings grit and athleticism that will make her exciting to watch in a UH uniform. Both come from strong competitive programs and will elevate our team!"
