Baseball Announces 2026 Schedule

HONOLULU – Fresh off back-to-back 35-win seasons for the first time in over 30 years, the Hawai'i baseball team announced its 51-game 2026 regular season schedule Thursday.

The Rainbow Warriors will open year five under head coach Rich Hill at home against Gonzaga on Feb. 13, kicking off a 30-game home schedule at Les Murakami Stadium, where they have won 70 games over the past three seasons and led all teams in the West in attendance last season.

Early Battles:
Hawai'i opens the slate with 16-straight games in Manoa beginning Friday, Feb. 13 vs. Gonzaga — who have appeared in seven straight WCC tournaments. The 'Bows will also welcome Wichita State (Feb. 19-22) for the second year in a row, followed by Ball State (Feb. 26-Mar. 1) to wrap up their early non-conference play.

Island Foes:
For the third straight season, UH will host all three local Division II schools when they face off against Chaminade (Mar. 10), Hawai'i Pacific (Mar. 25), and Hawai'i Hilo (Apr. 29). The Warriors look to continue their reign over the islands, entering 2026 with a combined 151-23 against the three programs dating back to their first matchup with Hilo in 1977.

One More Run:
The 2026 season marks the 'Bows final year as members of the Big West. During their 13-year tenure, the 'Bows have gone 159-172, but have posted their four best finishes in the conference over the last four years. UH kick starts their farewell campaign with a three-game set against current champion Cal Poly (Mar. 6-8). Hawai'i will then test the road for the first time on Mar. 13, traveling to Long Beach, Calif. to take on the Dirtbags of Long Beach State. The trip continues at UC Santa Barbara (Mar. 20-22) which, like Hawai'i, has ranked in the top 20 in ERA over the past two seasons.

The Hunt:
From March 27 to April 19, Hawai'i will play 12 straight conference games. The stretch begins in Manoa against Cal State Fullerton and ends on the road at Cal State Bakersfield. Sandwiched by those series, the Warriors will go head-to-head with UC San Diego and UC Irvine. Hawai'i went 6-6 versus those four opponents last season, showing how important this time frame will be in their pursuit for the Big West Championship.

Foreign Territory:
On April 21, UH will end a 13-year hiatus with UCLA in a single game showdown — their first meeting in Los Angeles since 2013, when Hawai'i fell 5-1. The 'Bows will also travel north to Oregon State for the first time since 2009. The Beavers finished last season nationally ranked 4th and punched a ticket to Omaha. The 'Bows hold a 17-9 home record against Oregon State, but are 0-2 in Corvallis.

The Home Stretch:
The 'Bows will look to finish strong with a flurry of conference games to close out the year. Hawai'i will cross bats with UC Riverside and UC Davis before completing their final Big West series at the Les in a battle with CSUN. UH has won five of the last six meetings with the Matadors, including a 2-1 series win in 2025 in which the teams combined for 61 runs.

A season ago the 'Bows sold out Les Murakami Stadium 12 times and led the West in average attendance at 3,928. New season tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks, so support the Rainbow Warrior baseball team during their final season in the Big West before joining the Mountain West in 2027.

Fans have until Friday, Dec. 12 to renew their season tickets for the upcoming season. New season tickets will go on sale in the coming months leading up to the start of the season.
