COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – University of Hawai'i captured three of the four Mountain West weekly awards after its dominant 38-6 win over league-leader San Diego State Saturday at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex.
Wide receiver
Jackson Harris, running back/kick returner
Cam Barfield, and quarterback
Micah Alejado was named Offensive, Special Teams, and Freshman of the Week, respectively.
For Harris and Barfield, the award marked the first of their career while Alejado was honored for the fifth time this season and sixth of his career. Alejado was also named Davey O'Brien Award's Great 8 for the second time this season.
In total, UH has received 16 weekly awards this season – three offensive, three defensive, five special teams, and five freshmen – by far, the most MW awards in a single-season, breaking the previous mark of seven in 2021.
Jackson Harris
- Finished with 130 receiving yards, marking the first time SDSU allowed a 100-yard receiver in the last 25 games dating back to 2023, the longest such streak in MW history.
- Only player in the country to have 100 yards receiving in five straight games at any point this year.
- Also had three touchdowns for his third straight game with multiple TDs and fourth time this season, which is tied for the nation's lead.
- Has a team-leading 10 receiving touchdowns on the year, which is tied for the Mountain West lead.
- Has found the end zone in three straight games and four of the last five contests.
- Of his 10 touchdowns, half have been for 30 yards or longer, including 34- and 35-yard scoring receptions against the Aztecs.
- Since Sept. 27, has 32 catches for 634 yards and nine touchdowns in five games. During that span, lead FBS with an average of 126.8 yards per game, while averaging 19.8 yards per catch.
Cam Barfield
- Returned the opening kickoff of the second half for an 86-yard score for UH's first special teams touchdown of the season.
- It was UH's first kickoff return for a touchdown since Calvin Turner's 92-yard score versus Houston in the 2020 New Mexico Bowl.
- Also finished with career highs in rushing attempts (11) and yards (69) and caught one pass for eight yards.
- Finished with 163 all-purpose yards
Micah Alejado
- Threw for 256 yards on 22-of-34 passing with three touchdowns and one interception
- Tossed three TD passes for the fifth straight game becoming the first UH quarterback to do so since Colt Brennan in 2006 (10 straight).
- Directed an offense that scored 30+ points for the fifth straight game
- Leads the Mountain West with 18 passing touchdowns
The Warriors are idle this week and return to the gridiron Friday, Nov. 21 against UNLV in Las Vegas, Nev.
