SEATTLE/HONOLULU—The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team will be split this week as they compete in two different tournaments. Hawai'i's doubles team of
Grete Gull and
Sophie Rachor will be competing in the ITA West Sectionals hosted by the University of Washington at the Lloyd Nordstrom Tennis Center, for one last chance to punch their ticket to the NCAA Championships later this month. The remaining four Hawai'i players will host the Rainbow Wahine Fall Invitational. The three-day tournament will run from Wednesday, Nov. 5 – Friday, Nov. 7 at the UH Tennis Complex with the 'Bows going up against Hawai'i Hilo and Hawai'i Pacific.

Gull and Rachor were selected to the ITA Sectionals after an epic run to the ITA Southwest Regionals' semifinals last month which included an upset over the second-seeded team from Pepperdine. Together, Gull and Rachor have notched a team-best 8-2 fall record They will be playing in one of the final two qualifying events for the NCAA Individual Championships.
Only doubles teams who have yet to earn entry into the NCAA Championships that have made deep runs at the ITA All-American or ITA Regional Championships are eligible for participation. The 2025 ITA Sectional Championships will have a draw size of 16 for doubles. From this,
three doubles teams (champion, finalist, third place)
from each sectional will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship.

Hannah Galindo enter the week with a 7-2 fall record.
Emma Forgac carries a 6-6 singles record into the tourney while
Allaire Berl is 5-4. In doubles, Berl and Forgac are 3-4 together.
