WAIPAHU, O'ahu  – The Hawai'i soccer team closed out its 2025 season with a 2-0 loss to UC Irvine on Senior Night at Waipi'o Soccer Stadium Thursday.

The Rainbow Wahine finish the season 4-8-8 overall and 2-4-4 in conference play in their final year as members of the Big West. Starting next season, the 'Bows will compete as members of the Mountain West.

The Anteaters got on the board first when Mia Colombini finished deep in the box off a cross from Ella Colombini to make it 1-0 at the 26:20 mark. UCI added to its lead seven minutes later after Kelsey Swyney cashed in on a second-chance opportunity to make it 2-0 in the 34th minute.

UH struggled to get much going in the opening 45 minutes, getting out-shot 6-0 to go into the half down a pair of goals.

The 'Bows came out after halftime on the offensive, firing off three shots in the first 10 minutes of the second half. UH held up on the defensive end over the final 45 minutes as it shut out an opponent in the second half for the 10th time in the last 12 matches and the 13th time overall this year.
