Last weekend, the Rainbow Wahine dominated their dual meets vs. Grand Canyon. In their three individual events—1- and 3- meter spring board and a platform exhibition—sophomore
Macie Wheeler won twice taking the 1-meter (318.25) and 3-meter (323.70) while fellow sophomore
Lovisa Gustavsson won the platform exhibition (263.40). Hawai'i swept the top three places in the platform exhibition and the top five places in both the 1-and 3-meter springboard. Junior
Ruby Pickron won third place in both the platform and 3-meter with final scores of 205.43 and 290.78 respectively. On Saturday, the 'Bows finished 1-2-3-4-5 with Wheeler (318.25) leading the way, Gustavson (286.13),
Avery Coates (283.50), Pickron (264.53), and
Keira Chandler (262.28). Gustavsson and Wheeler both posted scores on the platform, 1-meter and 3-meter that qualified them for NCAA Zone Championships, while Coates' 283.50 qualified her for the 1-meter and Pickron's 3-meter score of 290.78 punched her ticket to the NCAA Zone Championships as well.
On the men's side, Hawai'i's
Juan Esteban Ramirez Tamayo won first place on the platform with a score of 413.85, while true freshman
Oliver Wignall claimed bronze with a total of 313.13 points—both scores qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships. UH freshman
