Jun Hernandez announced the hiring of UH alumna
Peppi Ramstedt to the Rainbow Wahine staff as an assistant coach.
A native of Helsinki, Finland, Ramstedt is a 2025 graduate of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa, She earning her Bachelor's degree in mathematics last Spring after helping the Rainbow Wahine finish fourth in the Big West with a 10-8 overall record. Ramstedt began her collegiate career at Long Beach State where she garnered All-Big West honors all three seasons prior to transferring to UH for the 2025 season. Last year, as a senior transfer, she earned all-BW honorable mention honors in both singles and doubles with partner
Sheena Masuda. Ramstedt served as team captain both with The Beach and the Rainbow Wahine while earning Dean's list honors for three consecutive years while competing at LBSU..
Prior to coming to Hawai'i Ramstedt served as a youth tennis coach at the HVS - Tennis ry in Helsinki, Finland There she coached competitive players (ages 7-10) and designed and led drills, games and structured practices for player development. Ramstedt also spent time as a line umpire manager and recruiter for the Tali Open, an ATP Challenger Tour event in Helsinki. She recruited, scheduled and coordinated line judges for the tourney.
